AMIGOS is currently celebrating 42 years of promoting cross-cultural understanding and leadership development. We hope that you will join us in making this year even more successful!

With AMIGOS, you will have the opportunity to live with a host family in a rural or semi-urban community. Recent host countries include Paraguay, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and more.

All volunteers are supervised by more experienced AMIGOS veterans and are supported by a vast network in both their host countries and the U.S. AMIGOS health and safety procedures help keep you safe during your trip, yet thoroughly immersed in another culture.

AMIGOS projects might include: building stoves to replace open pit fires, planting gardens to improve families' diets, replacing dirt floors with those of cement, teaching health classes to children, or even teaching computer classes. Every AMIGOS experience is uniquely rewarding!

The Los Angeles Chapter is based on the Westside, but draws from many public and private institutions throught the greater Los Angeles area. Recent AMIGOS volunteers and training staff have come from Pasadena, Woodland Hills, Santa Monica and downtown L.A.

Come join AMIGOS Los Angeles for a thrilling, unforgettable summer!
